Hey friends!
So I have finished my first week of my internship with Seacoast Media Group (SMG) where I write for the Portsmouth Harold Medical Sunday section. The first day, I was a total mess. My anxiety sky-rocketed and I was sweating (great start for your first day on the job, eh?). Starting something new always triggers my anxiety and brings forth one of my biggest fears that people are not going to take me seriously or not really include me in what’s going on. Believe it or not, I can be socially awkward, especially when my anxiety acts up. I was nervous that I would say or do something stupid and embarrass myself. Luckily I didn’t, but it’s still a fear.
I could not be happier with how my first week has gone. Everyone there is super sweet and makes me feel like I am a part of the team. In my first week, I have worked on four stories and have two published thus far (I will post the links in the appropriate section) and I will have one in this upcoming Sunday’s Medical Sunday paper.
I shall keep you all updated on how everything is going. Thanks for reading. Talk to y’all later!!
As always, shine bright!!!
So way beyond proud of you!!!! But I knew you could do it ❤
