*Guess Who’s Back? Back Again?* (Please tell me Y’all sang this title)

Woah there!  It has been quite some time since I have posted last.  I’m very sorry about that, sophomore year of college is kicking my butt!  Anywho, enough about that.  How have you all been?  It feels like a true fall day and I am super excited about it!  Although, my nose is running off my face (better go catch it, am I right? Haha sorry, bad joke, but I had to).  On a completely different note, I have my second ASL exam in about 20 minutes so wish me luck!

Having a disability and going to school is harder than you may think.  I have to think about the location of all my classes, my work, and most importantly, where to get the best coffee for a decent price (every college student’s ultimate struggle).  Walking is something that is a task that requires much preparation to be able to get to point A to point B.  I find this very annoying, but if I want to be able to enjoy the activities, then I must plan accordingly.  This includes what to put in my backpack so it’s not too heavy, what shoes I should wear, and whether or not I need to schedule the University’s Access Van to take me.  The winter months are scary for me because my balance is terrible on s good day, nevermind the lovely slick ice we have in New England and the freezing cold temperatures.  When it is very cold out, my body begins to slowly numb itself to the point where if I fall, I’m down for the count; I need someone to lift me back up and essentially carry me.  This is embarrassing because I am very capable of walking unless my muscles say “hey, it’s too cold/hot out, we are gonna take a break and leave you to fend for yourself.  Good luck!”.  I am an independent person who has to rely on others sometimes to help me get through my day,  You may see a conflict there, and you would be correct.  My brain is telling me to do it on my own, but my muscles have different plans.  This is one of the many reasons why I hate winter, it sucks.

I am going to have to cut this one short because I must get to my class to take the exam (yay me!), but I promise I will try to update again either later today or this weekend.  Happy Friday my lovelies!  Shine on!

  1. Sorry it took me a while to read this one as I have been very busy with work. I hate the winter too. I used to love it but the older I get the more I loathe it. I hope the winter is kind to you and I hope you had a great time a maroon 5. Have a great day Rose
